The US dont need anything from Canada, yet we carry a massive negative trade deficit with them year after year, then the new PM threatens US citizens to make us feel pain..frick him, hes the one about to feel the pain,,this one I hope Trump sticks with, I understand most of the tariff talk is negotiation and leverage but Canada needs to suck it

Because they are mainly hurting themselves and their own consumers to protect industries that should be allowed to fail.
Evidently, they would be better served with importing that producing if their industry is that ineffcient.
American industry can do what few others can do, which is innovate quickly. Tariffs and other protections measures are anti innovation.
