Have you ever tried 531? Ive linked the book, this is, (my opinion only) a cant miss approach to training. Ive done starting stregnth, Madcow 5x5, (westside in the late 90's through early 2000's) and of all of those systems, wendlers is the most complete. Incorporates the main barbell lifts (o/h press, bench or incline bench, deadlift and squat) with accessory (can be bodyweight) lifts and conditioning.
