i ve always said that if i felt i needed a gun to feel safe, it was time to move. its not a fear as much as i dont view it as a necessity or priority.
i understand the societal role an armed populace plays, i just dont view it as a need for me, or as the solution to most problems.

im not disagreeing with you. i just dont want guns in my home. i have measures for home protection and self defense, just not fire arms. (not boobie traps either) . i dismiss the OPs premise because i am anti gun, and dont feel the need to change my views now. amazing how unpopular my decision is that impacts only me and mine.

As a gun owner I think your position is completely understandable. However most folks who hold your view do so out of ignorance or fear of firearms in general. Not saying that’s your case. As long as you and/or the Government don’t try to infringe the rights of others there is no issue.
