Good plan.
Ehhhhh.....he was with his relatives while the case was being adjudicated not held in detention. Court said he should be returned because you had his Dad and the Cuban government demanding his return. The relatives were the ones creating the issue by refusing to return him and making him the poster child for Miami's ex-pats.
I don't see Guatemala or El Salvador asking for anyone to be returned.

It's called propaganda.

Is it? So the father really didn't want his son back? I agree it was politicized but the Miami people were doing the same thing. It was his son so he had to return him.
We wouldn't want to split up families now would we?

I was young but I remember the admistration’s talking point on that basically boiled down to “the law is the law”. Ironic huh.
When I was young, it was more important, pain more painful, laughter much louder...when I was young.

Irrelevant to my point.
The propaganda doesn't care what an individual wants, it uses what benefits it's lies.
The government wanted him back, for propaganda purposes, and the father wanted his son. For him to bless the new life and prosperity in a free country had to be stifled or the government of Cuba would have punished him.

As previously mentioned- i don’t recall details but did dad even want to come here?

What's with all the fricking dumbasses on this board bringing up Elian Gonzalez? You literally have to have shite for brains to think it's in any way comparable to the current situation.
And you have to be a real piece of shite to think that kid shouldn't have been returned to his dad.
And you have to be a real piece of shite to think that kid shouldn't have been returned to his dad.

The communist government of Cuban says he didn't.
I mean...who would ever want to leave a communist, totalitarian shiithole for freedom?

Again, another idiot with shite for brains. Dad didn't want to come here, dumbass.

Who gives a shite?
He's his fricking father. Period. End of fricking story.

I agree. It's difficult to think that mothers and fathers in German concentration camps wouldn't want their children who escaped to freedom to give that up and come live with them.

Uh Huh..
*I read in a thread yesterday that "dumbass" was over used and only derps used it.*

That only exists in your mind.
Only a self absorbed, selfish, arse of a "parent" would want a child of theirs to give up freedom and potential to come live with them in a hellish shiithole like Cuba.

You really are a fricking moron, aren't you? So what ever happened to Elian anyway?
You're worse than a moron...as a human being you're a disgusting piece of shite for thinking the kid shouldn't go back to his dad.
If you can manage to get it up long enough, I hope you end up fathering multiple children that you lose in a bitter custody battle.
