This is really simple. There's a deputy AG, right? If the Senate won't confirm a replacement, just let the deputy AG do the work. It's not complicated. Things won't grind to a halt if there is no sitting AG.

In fact, Trump can call their bluff. Tell the Senate that you're sending up a nominee, but confirmed or not, his agenda is going to proceed full speed ahead under the direction of the assistant/acting AG. So the may as well confirm the replacement, because nothing will change.

Red zone running? We can't anywhere on the field. So always having 2nd and 9 or 10 instead of 2nd and 4 or 5 is crippling and limits your options. Here...again...is where Trump's mouth gets him in trouble. Greenland's tensions and disenchantment with Denmark have for a while been ripe for exploitation. Leave the diplomacy to Rubio. He is perfectly capable of warming up the Greenlanders to the idea of increased military bases, more access to raw materials, etc. He's good at that. But when Trump starts shooting off his mouth about just going and taking it and making it ours, all he does is get the locals riled up and frick everything up. Just another self inflicted wound.

I sure don't know who is control. Since the choppers flew out with Maduro, as far as I know, we haven't seen ANY indication of continued US presence involved in reining in the chaos. There have been multiple reports like this talking about armed gangs and militias hunting down Trump supporters.
