In any case police aren't going to track down someone for trespassing.
So, when someone ultimately chooses to take the law into their own hands, the cops don't bear any responsibility?
Repeal the law then. That's my problem with you people and your gun laws. You don't want to enforce them against the criminals and reduce violence, you want them on the books only to deter the law abiding or against political enemies.
Same thing, here, apparently. "We're not going to enforce that law." Well, strike it from the books, then.

quote:No. Just call police when it is happening. If you give them a video of a guy they don't recognize they aren't going to canvass the neighborhoods looking for the trespasser. They have more important criminals to spend that time on, like looking for the white guy who stole the guns.

quote:Who says I don't want to enforce gun laws? That is quite a stretch. Heck, I would love a gun law that would prevent someone who leaves guns in an unlocked car from buying another one. The idiots in this neighborhood lost 4 guns to the black market from their idiocy in a single month.

The phone camera man should be shot for bad camera work.
Not for bad camera work, but for volunteering the video to authorities/media.
These guys are guilty and dumbasses.
1. Stupid for chasing somebody down for allegedly stealing from residential construction site.
2. If you are going to, you better know what you are doing, which they didn't.
3. Filming it.
4. Leaking film to public thinking it will help your case.
5. Being tried together. The videographer gets the award here.
6. Defending your self. Award to Dad.
7. Telling victim that you will blow his head off then later doing it. Award to son.
Still ultimately, no video, they probably get off.

I watched your video. It has sound. You hear the shot as soon as he gets to the front of the truck. What more evidence do you want?
You hear a shot right about the time Arbery made contact with the defendant. Was the gun pointed at Arbery at this time? Can’t see in the video. Was the shotgun at a high ready or low ready and it was an unintentional discharge that happened when the defendant was unexpectedly grabbed ?
See the video doesn’t show the first shot. It does show that at the time of the shot, Arbery was running toward or had already made contact with the defendant. He wasn’t being chased by the defendant at this point in the incident.

This is an all time blunder. You kill someone and then want everyone to see it.

Not being a troll. Just looking at it through both sides.
I admit I don’t know All the facts. I’m pretty much examining the video that I linked and stating that there is a self-defense claim. Other factors may change that.

Not being a troll, but a troll is one who doesn't know the facts, admits that they don't know the facts, then argues not knowing the facts, and finally doesn't bother looking up the facts.
You are 4 for 4.

You’re so stupid.

That’s not a troll. Perhaps you should take your own advice and look up what a troll is..
I’m Interested in hearing how other people interpreted the video in terms of a self-defense claim.
