This is what we're getting instead

What's the issue with that comment about Trump within the context of OP and what I quoted?

Congratulations, have a tantrum on what Trump hasn’t done even though he hasn’t even gotten inaugurated yet……brilliant!

I'm fully aware that youre not a MAGA loyalist. More of a hold your nose MAGA type

you have a strange perception of “melt”. if calmly calling a spade a spade is melting, sure.

That's not what's happening. The lying is the clear indicator of the melt.

You just did it again with that phrasing.

And again. See, the lying is the giveaway.

you can see why this is quite convenient considering 99% of your posts are bashing the Right. You would have to link me to a single post of yours saying anything negative about D’s or the Left.

We can't grow our economy at a scale to fix this.

We can't cut non-military, non-discretionary spending at a scale to fix this.

You’re operating under the assumption that these programs are being managed at 100% efficiency and that their contracted vendors are doing the same. If we can return to 2019 levels of spending we have a balanced budget. I’m sure the benefit costs have risen since then but I think you and I both know that there is probably at least 15% that could squeezed out of inefficient federal bullshite without touching actual benefit payments.

No. That comment was about absolute spending.

quote:

That assumes 0 spending in all of these areas. It won't work with our current debt level and interest rates.

quote:

If we can return to 2019 levels of spending we have a balanced budget.

And the debt continues to grow at higher interest rates than what we had in 2019. A balanced budget still means debt continues to grow bigly.

My comment is about all of this spending going to 0.

Cut discretionary spending to 0 and we still have $700B in debt service that we have to borrow to pay for.

you've melted more in the last week than you did during 4 years of Biden. Everyone knows your shtick. You don't care any more about spending them you do about the judicial system as evidenced by your maga dunk thread after Trump was convicted by a judge even you said was full of partisan brain rot.

After you took such a terrible L yesterday, you come back to lie.

I haven't melted at all. I'm laughing at the hypocrites trying to pretend they didn't just recently state they wanted policies like Milei...and this thread was just perfect.

Yes. Principles and intellectual consistency and pointing out the lack of both in MAGA.

This was a good week for me.

and you continue to show that your an idiot!

How about DOGE combined with “drilling, LNG exports. more trade adjustments and bringing jobs and manufacturing” back home.

None of that in combination. can accomplish a balanced budget?

ONCE DOGE does what they say they are gonna do, you go find another board, possibly one where they require you to play in dangerous traffic with no helmet.

Better yet, while tReal Men are installing DOGE, you can get a head start on practicing in traffic. Just run back and forth across I-10 blindfolded, we promise cars will adjust to you.

The real test of what he’s doing will occur over the next year. He proved phase one: that he could cut his way out of a deficit and slow down inflation. The next year will prove whether he can cut his way into real sustainable economic growth. The cuts so far have significantly increased poverty in Argentina. His plan will need to deliver growth quickly or the population will sour on him before it has a chance to really get going.

On paper, everything is working and going according to chalk. I want to see Argentina’s experiment continue to be a successful example for all the world to see.
