Just because Meadows told them to turn the camera off doesn't mean he gave them different information.
If you study that twitter timeline she says the part about POTUS not doing well came from an anonymous source.
The reporters are to blame. You can clearly see all of the BS replies of TDS in her twitter feed. They will create what they want to believe.
The reporter is making it appear as they are getting conflicting information when it was an anonymous email. No one said Meadows told them anything like that.
If I were to guess he maybe said the next 48 hours are important and they twisted it. Meadows didn't want to be on camera-can't blame him.

White House COS talks to people, including the press, sometimes on the record sometimes off the record. All part of the job. The press' job is to take every opportunity to lie and exaggerate and embellish etc etc. Looks like just another day at the office to me.

This is what they do. Given the choices of reporting something accurately and blatantly lying to attempt to sow discord and distrust.....they're going with discord and distrust all day long.
