So the GOP base sends candidates that actually reflect their viewpoint, the RNC leadership cut off their funding and somehow Trump is to blame if they lose?
The RNC leadership would rather lose again than elect MAGA candidates. That much is plain.
Heck they actively accused one of pedophilia in the hopes of losing the Alabama senate race just a few years back while freezing support at the local level which resulted in Doug Jones winning.
That’s on McConnell and the lobbyists that own him, not Trump.
