I honestly was pretty apolitical until about 6-7 months ago. Everything going on has finally made me wake up and take interest.

“Oppression FOMO” don’t remember where I read that recently, but it’s a perfect description of rich white leftists.

Dan is stealing my arguments from 2015

LOL, 2015? Try 1988. A young sailor was I, enjoying a little liberty in Berkeley, CA (was stationed across the bay in Alameda NAS), and I'm in a bookshop/cafe browsing the wares when in walks a bunch of well off white kids (extremely well off judging from their designer clothing, car, and money they were tossing about) talking about how bored they are. So they decided to go steal a car. And from their conversation, it was apparent that it wasn't the first time they'd entertained themselves this way. I was 19, and it was my first real taste of just how snotty well off kids could be. I don't mean Muffy and her stuck up friends looking down on other high schoolers-snotty. I mean "we can do whatever the phuck we want and no one will dare put us in jail" snotty.

I had always wondered why these particular people were so upset and seemed to insert themselves into issues they have no experience with or no business getting involved with.

so basic human empathy never occurred to you? helping someone simply because they need help, without anything in it for yourself, never crossed your mind?
