Boise though. It's basically Denver.

Nah.

Boise is in Ada County and Trump won that county. Now do Denver county.

I've been flying to Boise for about a year now for a project I have going on. It's a pretty liberal place. The university and the city are out there. There are rainbow LGBTQ flags on lights posts downtown.

There was a battle earlier this year between the state of Idaho and the city of Boise over pride flags. Idaho passed a law that only official flags can be flown on government property. Boise responded by voting the rainbow flag as an official city flag and kept flying it at the court house.

They also recently tried to change the city flag too. It was going to be one of those typical cartoonish boring designs you see from the left. Too much pressure caused them to keep the original flag.

Outside of Boise is very conservative. Caldwell, Nampa, etc. all hate Boise. I saw the governor speak at a private event recently in Nampa and he made some jokes about Boise and the flag ordeal. It was met with some loud cheers.

i think it would be more accurate to say outside of the north end and downtown (and maybe sunset and the bench), boise is conservative. of course the outer suburbs are very conservative.

the mayor and city council went full clown mode by voting the pride flag as *one of* the official city flags, not the only one. but there has been pushback against things like pride flags on harrison ave (a very wealthy part of the north end).

most people here are friendly toward everyone and keep things to themselves. "boise kind" is a real thing, but most folks wouldn't stand for BLM activists attacking a vigil.

it is definitely not comparable to denver as another poster suggested i go to SLC quite a bit for work, and that city feels more liberal than boise
