Bold Prediction: Trump Will Fund Operation Venezuela without Congressional Oversight

The fuzzy reporting on the alleged first sale of $500 million of Venezuelan oil and the deposit of the alleged proceeds primarily "in a bank in Qatar" makes me think that Team Trump intends to leave Congress completely out of the loop.
Treasury STILL hasn't officially given any details on the alleged sale. You would think this would be a major achievement.
I think the funding and transparency of whatever "we" are doing in Venezuela will resemble the Iran/Contra Affair more closely than Operation Iraqi Freedom.
For reference, here's the language Team Trump will use to bypass Congress: "It's not federal money. It belongs to the Venezuelan Government. President Trump just gets to decide how it is spent."

For nostalgic purposes. This is what it looked like when Presidents thought they needed to make up reasons for taking over other countries. I prefer the candor of President Trump.
HIstorical note: this was also a time when presidents thought thought they needed Congressional approval and funding for such things.
