Yep! Any real conservative would be viewed by most Louisianans as heartless and ignorant. He/she would receive about 15%-20% of the vote and that's it. Voters across the political spectrum sure do love their populism in this state.

Very possible if we can get a good GOP senate candidate to to win second place against the Dem candidate. Then the GOP candidate can beat the Dem in the runoff. I like Louisiana's "jungle primary" system much better than the party primary systems in other states. It's much easier to oust incumbents in Louisiana than in other states.

My understanding is the Cares money to states is only allowed to be used for expenses related to covid ie testing, testing materials and other costs. It isn’t currently allowed to be used simply for lost revenue. If the restrictions are loosened it would help Cover lost revenue otherwise the states have to return the money.
