I often argue with anyone that will listen that;
1). If there are reparations, maybe it should be by decedents of slaves to the nation that has now placed them in the best place on earth.
2). If they don't like things here, I support one way, never to return ticket to anyone's (including Europeans and Asians) ancestral home.
3). If almost anything changed 150+ years ago (i.e. no slavery) then most of us, and ALL slave decedents who are alive today, would not be. It would a whole different group of people because ancestors would not have met, had sex and produced the people who then raised those who became our great grandparents. Any tampering with history would make us "poof" away. Including whites and blacks whose ancestors owned slaves.
Finally, we should all recognize that slavery is evil. It is wrong and should be ended everywhere and we should acknowledge that it should not have happened here, but be grateful that we had men and women who stood up and ended it. We should also be grateful to those who survived it so that we - black, white, Indian, Asian - have our existence today. Recognize their sacrifice, suffering and endurance and give thanks, then move ahead.

Out of curiosity, what caused you to realize it was one big lie?
I have a friend, young guy in his mid-twenties. He said his red pill moment came when he was repeating leftist talking points and realized that he didn’t even believe what he was saying.

Young man is spitting truth.
It's shocking how so many people seem to think European whites were trekking into the heart of Africa and catching poor, defenseless blacks to take back to the United States.
Notwithstanding it was other Africans catching and selling them, the vast majority of slaves were NOT transported to the British North American colonies, but to the Caribbean and to South America.
And, of the approximate 200000 that were brought to what became the USA, that population had increased to 4.5 million by the Civil War - by natural population increase (importation was outlawed in 1808).

If Juneteenth was anything about celebration vs division it wouldn’t have taken 150+ years to nationally recognize it.

I used to give you a bunch of grief on here so I’d like to say that you deserve a tip of the hat. You stated that you “realized it was all ONE BIG LIE”. Well it would’ve been really easy for you to just disappear but you chose not to and instead stayed on here and addressed it. You’re a good man Toddy.

He’s not trolling. This change happened quite awhile ago and he’s been consistent ever since.

Physical slavery ended but psychological slavery is stronger than ever

This is one of those things that is presented as innocent and wholesome but on the inside is rotten and used to further the division and promote the progressive agenda.

It will probably never be ended. Americans have this warped view that it mainly happened here and that slavery based on skin color is extra-bad.
