There are problems with modern conservatism, but coming at it from a small government mindset with a moral foundation is not one of them.

Modern conservatism doesn't do that at a significantly higher pace than other political groups, mostly because "conservatives" don't really understand what that means or how to apply it.

Really? In almost every case the impulse of liberals is to grow the size and authority of the Federal government... ObamaCare, Basic Income, Welfare expansion, disability expansion,... The list never ends.

I 100% agree with this statement.

Let me guess, just the bold part? Only if you consider republicans conservatives. There are far fewer conservatives than republicans, even if they support the party.

I don't mind Libertarianism per say.. I do mind when people who want to do whatever get messed up (i.e. drugs) then become useless to society, then it is society's responsibility to support and treat them because of their poor choices.

The biggest goal of libertarianism is to eliminate free-riding rent-seekers.

Cool story, but I didn't say liberals.

Cool story, but half of the battle of reducing the size and scope of the fedgov is swatting down marxist democrat constant pressure to expand it. That’s what I meant when I said Republican victories are often as much about what didn’t happen, as what did.

Cool story. The other half is educating "conservatives" about conservatism. Too many "conservatives" are cool with increasing the federal government, so long as it's their brand of federal government.

Cool story, but first we have to try educating people like you that just because CNN calls someone a conservative, doesn’t mean they are one. The main board has a thread right now about conservative Jennifer Rubin saying SHS should be shunned. I can’t tell whether people just don’t get the concept, or don’t want to. It certainly makes it easier lumping conservatives in with the rest of the pieces of shite legislators, doesn’t it?

Meh. You had no issues lumping me in with libertarians when you were running your mouth in the other thread.

Your comments on libertarians are enough to show that you still have a lot to learn.

If it matters to you, then come on out with it. I’ve had several exchanges with you, but I’ve never heard you state your position plainly. I don’t really care what you consider yourself, but if it bothers you to be mislabeled, then come on out with it.

Well you might want to address the liberal worldview, because it is the majority worldview of our country based on the total vote count.

Libertarianism is a fringe ideology that is content to snipe at it's brother (conservatives) while there is a real enemy at the gates (socialism with the Bernie wing).

I never said that it matters to me or that it bothers me. It doesn't. I'm simply pointing out the hypocrisy of that specific point you made.

My position is the application of logic and reason to knowledge of individual issues. For specific positions, I'd need specific issues.

I do, but liberalism isn't even in the conversation for the majority worldview on this board.

So you lumped yourself in with libertarians by way of skirmishing with me in both of these threads, but have an issue with me doing so. Gotcha.
