Legal immigrants are just as bad as illegal.

My neighborhood outside of Austin is 70% Pajeet, Asian and Muslim. I would never raise white children here.

And they take up all the quality middle class homes.

Deport. Deport. Deport.

Legal and illegal.

Blah Blah Blah Blah. If you can't afford a house where you're currently at, MOVE. If your current "professional" job doesn't pay you well enough to buy a house, MOVE and find an "unprofessional" job that will allow you to buy a house. Adapt and overcome. You're not entitled to own your dream home in your dream location you gotta earn that.

Just go hand that resume in with a firm handshake at that better paying job in the next town and youll be get that better job easy peasy!

Or if you cant find a job just start your own business. Go to your bank with your business plan and get a loan. Easy Peasy!

Or just keep whining and crying where you are. My father always said "Want in one hand. shite in the other. See which one gets full faster."

Except for our own population tipping point, which is projected within the next few years.

RollTide there’s no point arguing. They want everything now. No sacrifice. No nose to the grindstone. It’s someone else’s fault and not theirs.

Let them wallow.

Nope. Did join military. Get training, GI-Bill, separated at 11 years, graduated college and paid with GI-Bill (no student loans), bought tiny fixer upper, sold and bought better fixer upper, sold and bought current house with 109 acres.

don't recall this.

Was against covid crap from the beginning. was the young folks that were flipping out.

Continue whining and complaining. Doesn't bother me. When you grow up and figure out that the source of all your problems are the decisions that the SOB looking back at you in the mirror made you'll understand.

A moratorium and remigration + gentrification often solves this issue.

If we boot the illegals and lock up the home grown degens from the inner cities to the country we can all live where ever the hell we want without having to base American housing values on a tenuous balance between access to jobs and avoiding criminal culture run rampant.

The way we tiptoe around criminality and degenerate behavior in large swaths of our country for fear of offending someone or being called a racist is insane.

Not sure I'm understanding the plan, but are you saying it would be good for people who have home mortgages to wake to tomorrow and have their home that they are paying a $300k mortgage on be worth $150K or even less?

Not that drastic, but yes, to your larger point.

Home prices are way too high.

Apparently so other people who cannot afford a 300K home can buy one at $150K or less?

The pop of the bubble will have pain for some

But less pain overall for the market and a dane market will be much better overall and for the long term..

Actually where I work, X is blocked. Couldn't watch the video if I wanted to. Watching or not watching the video doesn't change the fact that your generation is complaining and not willing to adapt and overcome. If you want a house get off your butt and go get it or don't. I don't care either way.

I thought a tenet of "conservatism" was that people should be responsible for their mistakes and bad choices.

When you own 109 acres, you don't see your neighbors kids. I never slowed down a bit, but then I live in a RED STATE. Sounds like you live in a blue excrement hole. Please stay there and complain, the last thing we need in Red States is more yankee, liberal or coastal trash moving in.

This is a huge driver, but let's not forget Mortgage Interest Rates and insurance costs are also very big drivers of the monthly note.

I dont think Rates will ever be 3-4% again. Insurance should come down as long as market rates come down.

What did I "rant" about that wasn't true? Seems to me that folks here just want to whine, bitch, gripe and complain. If they put as much effort into getting a home as they do whining, they'd likely already have one.
