I thought my statement was very clear. Yes, the government being able to kill its own citizens is insane. But I guess I prefer a smaller government than you.

I don’t think it’s celebrated, at least not by the state. We don’t have the USArmy band playing neck before they flip the switch

The requirements of lawful state homicide differ for foreign combatitants. Civilians violating laws have due process requirements and in many states extra requirements for the death penalty. Foreign Policy magazine has a good article talking about the latter at LINK
