I wish I only paid triple.

Interestingly, folks like me will be completely unaffected by a repeal and don't replace strategy (aka gutting). While the folks who voted for Trump because they are frustrated and unemployed will be thrown out into the cold.

That's a risk you take not being employed by a big business or a successful corporation. Why should I have sympathy for your risks?

I'll go ahead and assume you don't own your own business.

It would be cool if you didn't have to purchase insurance to exist. The fact that the government mandates it is absurd.

I was once talking to a defense attorney. His specialty was defending men (and a few - very few - women) accused of rape. He said it was the easiest law job in the world because there are only two defenses.

1. It wasn't me. You got the wrong guy.

or

2. It was consensual, I swear.

That's it, there is nothing else (well in theority there is insanity which noone uses). In any other case there are hundreds of ways you can go.

With health insurance it is the same thing. We can do one of two things.

1. We can force people to save them from themselves. We do it with car insurance.

or

2. We can STOP making treatment mandatory at hospitals or in any other way. Simply, if you don't have insurance of some kind and you have a car accident, you die. Same with cancer and anything.

Period. Either nice option (one) or brutal option (two). But since we as a society simply are not going to do number two, I mean, fellah, we just aint, you know that, I know that, politicians know that, don't kid yourself.

Since we are not going to do number two, the only thing we can do is number one and Obamacare gets that done.

Like with my rape defense attorney friend....it aint that complicated.

That could work if hospitals were allowed to let the uninsured die at the door.
