I know this is a troll post, but many still agree with this.
Saddam Hussein kills several thousand people, our response. Lets kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis over a couple decades while also having thousands of American soldiers killed and spending billions of dollars.
Now lets do the exact same fricking thing in Syria.

I'm sure glad Saudi Arabia and Qatar are lining the pockets of our politicians in order for us to support the regional and religious proxy war in Syria.

While I do not deny that the Assad government may have the capabilities and willpower to do such a thing, it must be asked: what benefit is there for them to engage in such action? It is not a necessary weapon for the ends, and the international optics are atrocious. I don't see how any rational person within the Syrian military apparatus would think the use of chemical weapons on small targets is a good strategy, unless they give literally no fricks and are unconcerned with international opinion. Even then, it still wouldn't be the most optimal means of attack, I think.
Don’t go full Alex Jones Hempy, the Deep State would never orchestrate these type of operations......, would they?

Getting into Syria is almost as bad as getting us into Iraq. Both Bush and Obama should be hung for this (Bush for Iraq and Obama for Syria). If Trump actually gets us out of Syria that would be more of a win than any wall or tax cut imo.
Agree. The biggest thing is there is no possible outcome in Syria that would be a positive for us.
If Trump follows through on pulling out of Syria, get me a coat.

The US needs to stay out of this shathole. This is an apparent false flag and the military industrial complex is crapping their pants to remain involved in the middle east.
My fear is that many of Trump's advisors are hawks. I am sure they are in his ear this morning.
Get our troops home!

How many troops do we actually have in Syria? 17? 23?
We aren't really 'in' Syria like in other places. It is the Kurds who have been doing the heavy lifting in our name.
True, but there has been 5 U.S soldiers killed there. As far as money spent, I have no idea.

The only reason why Assad has not regained complete control over the country is because we, along with out Western allies, are funding the Free Syrian Rebellion (i.e. Friends of Syria) while are middle Eastern allies fund ISIS and Al-Nusra with our foreign aid money.

False flag bull shite. Syria on the verge of completely liberating East Ghouta and they would use chemical weapons just in time to save the terrorist asses by the gullible west? Yeah right. These terrorist refused a reconcilliation agreement or the transfer to the north in Idlib where the rest of the are holed up in the past days. All other terrorist in East Ghouta reconciled or transferred in the past weeks as the Syrian army and Russia were cutting through them like butter. This plays out real nicely when you consider the false flag chemical attack in England to make Russia look bad as well.

Yep, agree with others. This is some awfully convenient timing for this "attack".
When was the last time one of these supposed chemical attacks happened anyways? Seems like it's been a while, but it now happens again as soon as we're about to pull troops from the region

I could be wrong, but I think the last chem attack happened around the same time the Trump administration was thinking about letting the Assad regime remain in place... and even working with the Assad regime, to finish wiping rebels and isis out of the region.
A short time later.. the chem attack happened..

Last false flag sarin attack was April 6th, 2017, almost exactly 1 year. Worked well enough to fool Trump into firing cruise Missles.
This is from Russia on March 13th:
This is from Russia on March 13th:
quote:
Army General Valery Gerasimov warned on Tuesday that the U.S. was preparing to launch raids against Moscow’s ally, the Syrian government, as it attempted to clear the pockets of insurgents—some of which were once backed by the West—in the suburbs of the capital city of Damascus. Gerasimov, who acted as chief of Russia’s general staff and deputy defense minister, claimed that the U.S. would strike under the false pretense of a chemical weapon attack—a tactic that Russia has denied the Syrian military utilizes—and vowed to fight back.
“In the event of a threat to our military servicemen’s lives, Russia’s armed forces will take retaliatory measures to target both the missiles and their delivery vehicles,” Gerasimov said, according to the state-run Tass Russian News Agency.

quote:Chemical weapons move the people out and lower morale while preserving infrastructure. Also, they've been using chlorine intermittently since last year's sarin attack without any response from us. It's easy to see why they thought they could keep doing so. But while chlorine is less lethal than sarin, all it takes is the right wind conditions and a crowded space to make a significant body count.

This is BS and Trump has unfortunately already teeeted about it.
Obviously a false flag so that US will have to ramp up involvement
