Also, consider that while lithium supply will increase, so will demand.

More people moving into middle class worldwide. Asia and Africa in particular. They'll need lithium for smartphones, tablets etc.

This will drive up prices.

I just don't see EVs being scalable.

I'll be honest, Elon makes a nice product. Just, not for everyone.

You don't understand the "Great Reset", then. The Elites won't start from zero, the worker bees will.

The ICE and Private vehicle ownership = freedom. EVs can be shut down remotely and the grid will be controlled by the gov. Would be an effective way of forcing the next round draconian lockdowns in a country full of gun owners…

There's nothing exclusive to EVs that allows them to be shut down remotely - the same tech could easily be implemented into petrol vehicles.

Yep. You cannot compromise with these loony toons. You cannot negotiate with these loony toons. In that Joe Biden is their leader, they have shown how imbecilic they are.

Unfortunately, we have approximately half the voting population afflicted with a severe mental condition. It's called eat up with the dumbass.

It already is, and has been, in many.

The math in that is wrong. The OP has apparently corrected it
quote:

Global lithium-mine production reached a record high of 100,000 metric tons last year, 65% of which is used in EV-battery construction. (The other 44% is used in lubricants, cellphones, etc).

But current EVs can already be shut down remotely and all future EVs will have that capability unless companies decide battery and charging efficiency updates aren’t necessary to compete in the EV market. Youre being obtuse if your argument is that manufacturers will spend the same money on connectivity tech in every trim of every model of every ICE vehicle

There were 15.1 million vehicles sold in the United States last year. Less than 500,000 were EV’s. If 100% of all lithium in the world was used for ev batteries, there would be 1 million ev made.

So by your own words you're suggesting that we used half the lithium in the world last year alone making electric vehicles. So presumably we should run out sometime later this year or early next year according to your statements

The complete downfall of the US educational system is President Carter's fault by the creation of the US Department of Education.

Sure, economically a standardized minimum education sounds great, and benefits all industry potentially leading to overall growth. Legislation alone could handle that minimum level. An entire US Govt. Department was and always will be overkill. Having an entire bureaucracy is what lead to the demise of actually educating.

No time nor energy after meeting fed mandates to prep for tests rather than educate. Teach kids how to answer specific standardized questions rather than educate on how the answer actually came to be the answer.

Read a book? No time, just memorize these questions and answers and poof, here's your officially sanctioned, US Govt. approved, paper stating you know the minimum. Reach for stars? LOL. Reach for the broom and mop it's all a US Education prepares kids for these days. Oh, and pictograph recognition so they can ask if ya wanna supersize dat diet coke.

There's plenty of lithium out there waiting to be mined.

Of course the tree huggers are against that and are trying to stop US mines.

Shouldn't be difficult with the clownshow in charge.
