Your example is not reality. WFH has massive drops in productivity. That's why Amazon is requiring workers to return to the office 5 days a week in January.

I just posted a video from a top university’s researcher that says just the opposite and in fact there are more risks with aggressive RTO strategies.

Plenty of studies say the exact opposite. When a company like Amazon is making workers return to work 5 days a week in January, I will put my money on them being right.

If working from home is plausible, there is nothing immoral about it.

Clarification
in India
..... curious why are you choosing this hill to die on
Does Eric work from home and are you suspicious that he's cheating on you?

I’d trust MIT Sloan School of Management over some partisan tweets. Let’s face it. The reason the largely right-wingers on here are worked up over WFH because they’re aggrieved and see tech workers as an other who they’d like to see punished.
RTO strategies by big tech is nothing more than them trying to shed payroll without having to do a legally defined layoff. Many of states these companies reside have fairly onerous requirements if they do a layoff. The problem is they’re going to probably lose some of their better talent to places who have retained WFH as soon as their golden handcuffs release (RSU vest).

After all these pages, did we establish WFH people have weak constitutions and low character? Does everyone agree now? I always thought it was completely obvious

I don't care if you're tech or a phone solicitor.
You're getting paid to perform a function for your company. You're probably "working" right now but you're typing conversations on a message board.
Why do you enjoy defrauding your employer?

When you're cooking fries at Burger King and gossiping with the other women at work about someone's hairstyle or drug addiction why can't your employer fault you for gossiping while you should be working?

I’m on leave to do child care because family is out of pocket.

That's the WFH mantra. Defraud and steal from their employer while having the excuse of my task are complete.

Most on this board love the idea of Emma king fedgov employees work in an office 5 days a week, but scream bloody murder if their employer did it.
Suck it up and if you don't like it then leave or start employing people yourself. If you're cashing the paycheck, then you're accountable for your time and production.

Well I would like to see the outrage equally applied
For government and private employees alike whether in America or around the world
At least then this would be intellectually honest

Bunch of hypocrites want fedgov to make employees sit in a cubicle while posting for hours on a message board from their couch while "working from home."

Exactly. They are all for Federal employees not having WFH but the private sector is different. In reality, it's not. They are no different than those salaried Federal employees scamming their employer.
