I just 10 minutes ago had an experience with this. I'm walking through a parking garage to cross. A car comes flying around the corner. I don't stop walking. I don't stop walking in a parking garage or parking lot unless the car is literally right up on me because I know that in Texas, pedestrians have right of way in a parking lot. This one was 150 ft back and hauling. I don't stop walking, so this person has to brake. They roll down the window as they pass behind me, and I can immediately tell by the voice that it's a black woman "AHH Sheeeit watch where duh phuck you walkin'" I turn around and say very firmly "This is a parking garage. Pedestrians always have right of way in parking garage." She keeps going on cussing in jibberish, and I just start yelling in a tone as a man that makes any woman shut the frick up. Extremely assertive. "This is a fricking parking garage. Pedestrians have right of way in a parking garage."
I know she was pissed because I'm a white man and made her brake, so she couldn't get where she was going 3 seconds faster. Phuck her. Pedestrians always have right of way in a parking lot, and if you're flying to where you have to slam your brakes in a parking lot for a human walking, then you're a piece of shite.
