I was proposing a hypothetical scenario (where the Epstein CTs are proven hoaxes, like the Satanic Panic) and asking if that scenario would qualify as a "moral panic" to disprove your claim.

Well, at this point, it appears to be just that.
Now I know you're not basing your analysis on direct or credible evidence, so you can claim anything you wish, but even that's not relevant to what's being discussed.
It's not an "appeal to ridicule", which is the point.

No we've just had this conversation multiple times and you've never produced any. No need for mind reading when that history exists.
And I've reviewed a lot about these cases and know how it's lacking (hence articles about just that in OP).
The difference in the two of us int his conversation is that I'm willing to adjust my analysis with the direct-credible evidence. I have no investment of anything other than reflecting what we can rationally conclude/analyze based on what direct-credible evidence we have to do so. If that evidence changes, so must the analysis.

Nobody is denying Epstein and Maxwell trafficked girls to Epstein and Maxwell. Their indictments only involve those allegations about Epstein/Maxwell, and not the larger allegations about others.

Because Giufrre's attorneys were made to declare in court that the manuscript that is the source for all of this hysterical nonsense was a work of fiction.
She made absurd allegations against Dershowitz (highly specific - raped her like 6 times or something) and then was forced to back off of that - and got lucky, actually. She could have been charged with perjury. Instead they allowed some mealy mouthed "oh, maybe it was someone else" type of nonsense.

It's just so weird to me how much MAGA has latched on to this, given it has all the elements they usually (rightfully) bemoan:
--MSM - lots of un-earned credence extended to the group that usually gets the "you don't hate them enough" treatment around here.
--Grown women in arrears now claiming rape/assault - I would say usually one of the most chastised groups on this entire site
--Ambulance-chasing attorneys representing said grown women - an estimated billion dollars of "settlement" money has been dangled. And now, all of a sudden, we ignore our ability to assess the perverse incentives provided by that? You have 50 year old women that were 25 year old adults with agency now claiming to have been desperate "victims". And getting paid for it
