I saw a story on CNN by that Black reporter from Baton Rouge on Tuesday. He asked about this issue of why so few blacks on the police force. An officer told him--you have to be a high school graduate to apply for policeman and 60% of black males don't graduate there. Also, most can not pass a drug test and many just don't apply, they don't want to be a policeman. They have to go outside the city to get applicants, not enough inside city residence. Someone needs to tell Holder this. They tried but got too few applicants.

Good points TT. Also, this town is 75% black. White mayor, elected. District Attorney, elected. So, either the blacks elected these two guys to represent them or they stayed home and let the whites elect them.

Is Holder suggesting that blacks are frequently arrested/convicted for crimes the didn't commit?
If not, then the only way to do what he wants is to not arrest black people in the act of a crime or to increase arrests for white people.
