do you give him a receipt? Do you document, actually document, the hours billed against said cash and the balance
remaining?
Receipt? Yes, almost always. In fact, you're reminding me that I need to email a receipt to my client I was in court with yesterday
I don't do much billing and I don't do any against an advanced deposit. Too much time wasted on accounting for me.
Now, in the few billable cases I have, I send a detailed invoice with date, hours, task, etc.

And now he's breaking down attorney/client for the first witness...
Will be able to call him back and ask him questions he tried to stonewall.

What type of law are you practicing? Don't think I ever saw you say after you went to law school all those years ago.

Biden’s team would have given him a pass if he hadn’t fricked this up.
Only reason they may not do it now is that he could talk about their WH meetings to save his own arse.

Depend on what he was spending it on, but anything hitting on or near the $10K mark potentially sets up either a suspicious activity report or structuring charges.
Most places don't accept cash for anything large, well below $10k.
Anything you buy that needs to be registered is extremely difficult to buy in cash via vendor.

Lots of criminal and certain types of divorce. Some custody.
Some other assorted things but those are the majority of my practice.

This guy is reminiscent of the lawyer from “Sanford and Son” who was a lawyer on Tuesday/Thursday and a tailor MWF.

I bet nothing is getting done in the Fulton County DA's office today. Would love to be a fly on the wall because i imagine all of them are glued to this testimony.

I’m guessing John Marshall Law School is going to send him a refund and take back his JD after this train wreck.

If it lasts four more hours or longer, call a friend and brag about it.
