Breast milk is always the preferred method.


Breast milk being the best was the recommendation 30 years ago when I first had kids, but in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s breast feeding was rare, and any woman that did it was looked upon as some type of “earth mom”. I know the doctor my mom went to steered her away from breast feeding me and my siblings, I’m 67. Even if physicians in that era didn’t recommend formula over breast feeding, they certainly were not discouraging its use, and that was the era of not questioning what a doctor told you.

Yes, and the second line says that babies should be weaned by 6 months or they may become weak and anemic.

This is the truth.

All you have to do is ask mothers from that time period. That it is an uncomfortable issue for doctors does not change the truth.
