It also seems strange to me that the Dems have not shown them hardly any attention this election cycle. That may just be me but I have not noticed much of anything at all directed their way.
I remember the warning from immigrants during Trumps Latino roundtable so I know those have most certainly been paying attention.

They've shown no attention to the inroads Trump has made in the black and brown communities. The numbers are there for Trump. His approval among those groups is at historical levels for a Republican. If those numbers hold true through Election Day, dems could find themselves without that built in firewall they have always counted on to swing tight races. How many times have big urban areas pushed dems over the finish line? Dems have always counted on blacks voting at a 95% clip, but if that drops to 85% with Trump pulling in the other 15% dems might get decimated up and down the ballot

Wow. And it goes right over their heads that people like this are sitting on over 300 million dollars. Does he realize he doesn’t need to wait for a “tax increase” to give it away? Guilt ridden hypocrite

How much is he worth?
What percentage of that has he given to charity?
progressives HATE donating to charity...
quote:
Arthur C. Brooks, a social scientist at Harvard’s Kennedy School and author of the book on charitable giving Who Really Cares says his research finds, “People who favor government income redistribution are significantly less likely to donate to charity than those who do not.”
quote:
Bernie Sanders, a democratic socialist, has said that private charity should not exist, because it usurps the authority of the government. Sanders voiced this antipathy at a United Way meeting shortly after being elected mayor of Burlington in 1981.
The New York Times reported:
“I don't believe in charities,” said Mayor Sanders, bringing a shocked silence to a packed hotel banquet room. The Mayor, who is a Socialist, went on to question the “fundamental concepts on which charities are based” and contended that government, rather than charity organizations, should take over responsibility for social programs.
quote:
In 2016, Sanders donated just $10,600 of his $1 million income — around 1 percent — to charity. His total household donations since 2009 manage to get him to the two percent level.
quote:
According to analysis by Forbes magazine, the least charitable Democrat is also the poorest: Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Despite his progressive bona fides, including a “paid” volunteerism program, Buttigieg has donated just 1 percent of his income to charity since 2009.
quote:
And then there’s former Vice President Joe Biden, who made headlines in 2008 when Barack Obama tapped him to be his running mate it was discovered the Bidens had donated just $3,690 to charity over the course of an entire decade. He’s since raised that number to six percent, much of it donated to Biden family foundations.

Not always. Sometimes it was a rope and a short drop. Either way is OK, but the rope is a little less expensive and more "green".

In fairness to Buttigieg, he is also by far the youngest and poorest of anyone profiled there. Excepting his McKinsey days, where he was probably making gross $150 - 200K per year bonus included, the dude's been on a government salary his entire career. If he started making any real money over his career, it would have been only within the last six months or so.
I don't blame him for not giving much to charity when virtually everyone else of his age and income range doesn't give much because they straight up can't. He's been effectively an upper-middle class Millennial with a very low six figure household income for his entire career. From what I've heard of the guy (off the record) and know of the guy, I think he would if he had the cash flow, but he doesn't, so he can't. I don't think you'd be getting too many Republicans donating large chunks of their monthly income to charity with his income since he graduated college, either.

That’s the thing. He doesn’t want to give his away at all. He wants to keep it. He just doesn’t want you to keep yours.
Everything with these rich powerful leftists has nothing to do with actually helping people. It’s all about consolidation of power and authority.
