since the very extreme few "white nationalists" ran with the coordinated media's description of the Alt-right to damn near hijack the name
Pretty sure the whole thing was the brainchild of a Richard Spencer

he claims the label, but a lot of the message/ideals behind people claiming the "alt-right" wasn't white nationalism or anti-jew bullshite. now many who claim it do believe these things, which is why i am enjoying this distinction. it makes it more clear for all sides. people who mislabeled themselves "alt-right" can now correctly label themselves as "alt-lite", the current version of teh "alt-right" can hate on them like they do everyone else, and progs lose the "they're all racists" message for the "alt-lite". win win win

nope. you don't find many racists on here

IMO Obama was treated differently on here because he was 1/2 black.
Comments about both Obama and his wife crossed the line- where I draw it at least- on several occasions.

How many ways does one need to explain the difference between:
White Supremecists (bad)
and
White preservationists (good)?

Y'all are still letting the progs define, divide, and conquer.
I don't want black people to leave the country, I don't hate brown people, but saying these things is completely pointless.
The powers that be are going to flood white countries with 3rd worlders unless we stop them, and by the time my kids are old their kind will be a small minority in every single country on earth except those without any whites at all.
But at least millenials can spend a few more years feeling virtuous for not being "racist", so that's nice.

Both are bad.

it's like an added layer on the alt-lite's promotion of western culture (For everyone)

Start a thread about interracial marriage
From yesterday:
quote:
Why can't they be friends without diddling each other or one is gay? The BBC is either cramming interracial couples or gay characters as the norm.
Seriously, there are a shite-ton of posters on TD who have a problem with interracial relationships.
quote:
You mean the ones where people talk about what a shithole that continent is? Is it incorrect to call Africa a shithole?
It normally starts out that way and morphs into a discussion about how you can't let 'those people' run a country, and then it turns into a pseudo-scientific discussion about how black people are genetically predisposed to commit crime and suck at trade, etc.

Having a problem with continuously glorifying it =\= having a problem with it.
I have a problem with any agenda being continuously forced down the publics throat via media; I'm instantly skeptical of the motives

Before or after the entirety of the alt right supported a candidate openly advocating for a wall with a "big, beautiful door"?

Trump often clarified his position that he wanted to make legal immigration easier.
I reject your assertion.

your question really has no validity
the cultural values aren't a secret and can be adopted abroad. there is no need that you emigrate from a non-Western culture to learn what it is
i'm pro-Western culture and i'm not against immigration, but you can easily be pro-Western culture and anti-immigration within the West. the two spheres don't have a real overlap

The same place you'll find his first 100 days promises.
We aren't arguing the end effects- we're arguing what trump said and how it was taken.
You asserted, by implication, that distinction cannot exist because few or no altrighters support increased immigration.
Trump, during assorted rallies and even during debates, waffled between stances on many policies- one of them being immigration. He did state multiple times he wanted to make it easier for "the good ones" to get in and stay.
Can argue all day long whether or not that mattered to alt-righters, but at the end of the day neither you nor McInnes have any grounds to reject or accept anything because neither of you have telepathic ability.
example: lulz breitbart- the alt right bible
Yes, his plan of deporting them and readmitting them is stupid, but he still wanted to make it easier "for the good ones"

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that after he would “get them back where they are,” he wants to “expedite” the legal immigration process for the “good” illegal immigrants in the US “of which there are many” after and that “I want people to come into the country,” provided they do so legally on Monday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel
Yes, his plan of deporting them and readmitting them is stupid, but he still wanted to make it easier "for the good ones"

quote:We do, however, have the alt-righters themselves, who are prolific Tweeters, bloggers, and posters. The fact that you have to point to some gaseous and frequently contradicted statements by their favored candidate (who they might or might not be supporting in spite of this view, or pretending the contradictory one is the real one) instead of their own writings directly (where they can say directly what they do and don't want) tells me that you're resisting this argument not because it's invalid, but because you know where it's going.

quote:I don't think you can be pro-Western culture and anti-immigration without adopting alt-right (as opposed to alt-lite) tenets, as McInnes has defined them. If the two spheres didn't interact there would be a random mapping of alt-liters who were pro-immigration and alt-liters who weren't. But aside from your dutiful "I'm totally the unicorn who supports this thing I never post about," there aren't.

quote:And I pointed out that you can find multiple instances, starting with his own white paper, of him advocating less legal immigration. Trump is a cobweb-brained cipher who tells us nothing about what the so-named "alt-lite" thinks, both because of his contradiction and because support for a candidate doesn't infer 100% agreement with everything that candidate says.
