The first sentence is false. Why else would I make the distinction between Islam and Islamism? The second sentence is a slur that indicates that you already realize your argument can't withstand scrutiny.
You scoff that we can't have nice thing in Muslim countries. Which countries then, support the things you believe are nice. Like "gay marriage"? Like women's rights? Like equal protection under the law? Like the presumption of innocence? Like Free Speech? Like the right to protest the government? Like tolerance for people of other faiths?
Answer that. And then tell me if you can assure me of some very fundamental Western values. Can you assure me that Muslims have disavowed political violence? Embraced Free Speech and toleration? Have they disavowed widespread female only prohibitions on driving, employment, voting and education? I mean, I could give you a much longer list of cultural differences and conflicts between Islam and Western Civilization if you want.
Rather than changing the topic or engaging in the cheap ad hominem, answer those questions with intellectual integrity. We will wait.

As expected you completely glossed over questions with broadly incorrect assumptions about what Muslims believe. It reads as if you are trying to assuage your conscience much more than you are searching for the inherent truth of the effects of importing millions of Muslims (many of them Sharia friendly) into Europe. I can't force you to become informed in where Muslim immigrant's sympathies lie, but make no mistake, it's not with the German government or their German neighbors. And neither can I force you to be intellectually honest, if you are fully committed to Progressive Immigration Orthodoxy.
You know full well this will weaken the cultural cohesion of the Western Nations and decrease the quality of life in each of these countries. Yet you uncritically accept it, without a moment of compassion or concern for the people of any of these countries that are having this forced on them by their Euro uber-bosses. The question is why so many Progressive Fundamentalists are so enthusiastic about this. Maybe you could answer that.

Because it destroys the western society that they loathe. In fact, they're so desperate to destroy it that they'll try to replace it with an ideology and culture that is the absolute antithesis of their belief system.

This is the weak sauce (Straw Man followed by insult) that makes me realize how pitiful their actual argument is:
It doesn't matter that the person they are arguing with just came back from Europe and travels there regularly. It doesn't matter that the person they are arguing with has lived abroad. It doesn't matter if the person they are arguing with is pro-immigration. It doesn't matter if the person they are arguing with is married to an immigrant.
The only thing about the entire wasted exchange to the Progressive Fundamentalist is that he 1) was able to get off a cheap insult on a Conservative and that 2) he was able to overcome the inherent cognitive dissonance of his position (being a Western liberal and championing a culture that contains an ideological movement that seeks to eradicate it) with moral preening that allows him to virtue-signal.
Allowing millions of potentially hostile Muslims into the West is basically about providing the Progressive psyche an outlet for their overwhelming urge to virtue-signal to their perceived societal lessors.

I called out some Prog girl at a bar last week about this exact topic.
We were talking about traveling and whatnot and it somehow got into immigration.
She was talking about how great multiculturalism is. While I don't necessarily disagree with multiculturalism, I wanted her to look at it in a different light.
After she was triggered and hurled a slew of obscenities and assumptions at me and my political beliefs (including global warming which somehow got tossed in there) I told her I'd be traveling to Vietnam in February. She was very jealous, but I said imagine if Hanoi was just like New York City or Chicago, would you even want to travel there? She said emphatically "frick no".
I said, ok then, well multiculturalism isn't always a good thing now is it. Preserving culture is also a good thing.
Funny how it took looking at it from a non-Western point of view for her to see that.

I personally have no problem with allowing immigration as long as the head of household can prove that they can secure work (thus not add to the growing welfare state), that the immigration isn't daisy chained and they disavow any form of Sharia law/while commiting to Western secular ideals. Otherwise they can go elsewhere and ruin that country.

I was thinking this about you. My travels are extensive and has included Munich quite a bit. This is the pedestrian walk off of the Marienplatz. Let's just say the city has changed dramatically since my last visit in 2015. Islamic enclaves have historically been shown to resist integration into the existing community. I have a permanent souvenir I received from a Muslim in 1988. I was in the Muslim Quarter in Marseille simply doing laundry when I was the subject of a totally unprovoked attack. I have been to 11 predominantly Muslim countries plus Israel. Let's just say your views don't jive with the real world that I have experienced.
