So a warming planet that supposedly is melting ice raises sea levels and a cooling planet (ice age) also raises sea levels. Got it.

What I see is their regulations obviously worked too well that we must end them now in order to induce global warming. Bring back the R-12 freon, burn barrels in every back yard, and get rid of all catalytic converters. Soon we will be able to regulate again.

I'd rather global warming.
I think the US government and the western nations of the world are better equipped at solving that than an Ice Age.

I read a really neat novel about that... if I didn't have Sally on my feet I'd go find it to tell you what it was. It was a novel, but was for explaining just how detrimental global cooling would be- and how even now, far far more people die from cold than from hot..

If you look at it on a geological timeline we are coming out of the Ice Age. Which explains why we are getting warmer.
In fact, an Ice Age makes absolutely no sense geologically.
It's all fear porn.
I remember having to find a down hole pressure in my senior project. We used a model to determine what that exact pressure would be.
Being a lazy senior, I didn't feel like manipulating equations or spending much time on it to be honest. I continued to plug values into the model until I was able to get it right.
