This isn't about the fricking election. It's over. It's not getting overturned.
What they're trying to do is prosecute a former president based on their own creative interpretation of his words. They want to be able to just make shite up and send people to jail or worse for it. That's what's at stake, and it's bigger than Trump.
Graham isn't going to get anywhere if he clouds the argument with election fraud issues that are not part of the impeachment.

The impeachment trial is about whether or not Donald Trump incited a riot at the US Capitol.
And the answer is no, Donald Trump did not incite a riot and said nothing inflammatory that would constitute as inciting a riot.
And thus Trump should and must be acquitted of all charges.
The trial has nothing to do with a contested election.
I see nothing wrong with Graham's statement and that is Trump's legal team should focus on.

Look, I think they cheated too, but it's over. This bullshite trial circus is about the left's desire to bend and twist reality to be whatever they want, and make policy and prosecute people for it. That should terrify you more than election fraud. That is government by terror.
We still have the filibuster and a few dems have said they wouldn't vote to end it. We can get through these two years. If they try to take something dear to us, we go from there, but this fight is paramount. Trump must win in such a way that it rebukes democrats and their insanity. Right now, they think they can get whatever they want. They need to lose, and giving them ammunition by continuing the futile election fight will only make that more difficult.

Election integrity should be a larger discussion but not part of this impeachment. It just needs to end quickly. When Abrams said her voters were suppressed there was a review and Ga likely went too far in the opposite direction but that review happened. People should be able to vote without waiting in 4hrs of lines but if your going to do mail in and drop boxes then there has to be clear and transparent process to ensure integrity. Each state has to drive these improvements and it should be handled at the state level in a bipartisan way.

I agree with you that it's an illegal trial and there is no constitutional way to impeach private citizen and Trump must sue to stop it and SCOTUS would likely rule in his favor.
But he's apparently choosing not to sue and will let the trial proceed and thus he must make the argument that he did not incite a riot at the Capitol and he cannot get there if he chooses to scream more about how the election was stolen.
