I've got an $80 samsung galaxy. It does more crap than I can possibly ever need.

Apple lost me back in 2008. I bought an ipod and wasn't allowed to load my collection of songs on it because they didn't come from the iTunes store. frick em.

I realize this is about the price of tech. Anyone spending a thousand plus on a phone isn't gonna care about a mark up

Not that I would know this but I can assure you that you absolutely 100% load pirated/non-itunes music on an iPod in 2008.

I kept a 1k song playlist before Spotify through several iterations of iPods and iPhones for almost a decade and never once downloaded a song from Apple if you don’t count that abomination from U2.
