Not enough troops sent.

Tried to do it on the cheap so the American people would not complain about the cost of it.

Police and enlisted troops are overwhelmingly conservative, with the majority of enlisted coming from the south and midwest. If you think there would be a unified military behind some limp wristed gun grab, you'd be wrong.

I would like to see how many US citizens would make blow up devices to kill US servicemen and police and state troopers.

I would like to see how many set booby traps that blow up schools. And then there are SECOND booby traps to kill firemen, ambulance people (fitenn minutes later after the first boom boom).

That is what they did in Iraq. You think this is what people will do in the United States? Really?

Somehow I doubt it.

These statements right here, along with your "just cut off power and water and it will be over" comments tell me you have very, very little contact with rural america.

In Janesville America it would be more like - Hey, are the Smith Family on Route 21 nuts or or not? Nuts? Okay, got it. (Speaks into walkie talkie for backup). And done

Would you care to come to my hometown which you’ve likely never been in and let me drop you off in a random location then find me in my house? What a ridiculous thing to say and argue. Do you think that Americans have an entire map of every city in America implanted in their brains or something? And do you understand just how much planning goes into missions that the military undertakes? They have just as much info on a random neighborhood in Jalalabad as you would on a random neighborhood in Seattle, Washington.

we are not a bad arse warrior nation anymore

100% false. Our veterans are some of the most highly trained on Earth and it would take about 3 months of adjustment for our citizens to turn into absolute animals. We’re certainly more of a warrior nation than Iraq and Vietnam, both physically and mentally. Sorry if you hang out with pussies

Wait, you claim the problem stems from Americans' infatuation with guns and consider our society as ultra-violent, but on the other hand we're just a bnch of weaklings?

You're all over the map.

Apparently he also believes we should commit more troops to Afghanistan and should've done the same in Vietnam. Gun control is making Euro into quite the war monger.

He only knows the type of people he's around himself. Effete and completely reliant on the government. So of course he thinks a civil war can be won by just turning off power and water.

No, it is a natural result of living in comfort.

I doubt conservative hero's like Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh would be manning the barricades. They would all be on the back bench telling everyone else what to do.

(By the way so would I, but I do not act like I am some brave badass like they all like to do, acting all brave and high and mighty).

Yeah, I laughed out loud at the troop strength comment.

Eurocuck opposed the surge in Iraq and likely considered Nixon's escalation into Laos and Cambodia as war crimes.

They won't act because of the gun grab, they will act against insurrection and lawlessness. Its their sworn duty to protect the country against foreign and domestic enemies.

A Democrat trampling on the constitution and ordering military and law enforcement to act as agents in such pursuit would qualify as a domestic enemy.

seriously man. I’m sitting here wondering if this guy has ever been outside or not. I know people who can literally survive for 3 years with a flint fire starter, a lifestraw and metal canteen to boil water, a hatchet, a knife, and a .308 AR platform with 5 mags reserved for hunting. I mean we are designed to live outdoors. We’re not made of fricking glass

If the government tries to confiscate guns without a repeal of the 2nd, ya...uh....you see how many stay on the side of the government.

Because at that point a forced confiscation of something explicitly listed as a right in the Constitution would constitute an unlawful order.

I actually supported the surge in Iraq and did so on this board, but that is a decade ago and those posts are long gone.

I am a big believer in the Colin Powell theory of war. Destroy them. Absolutely destroy them. Take whatever weapons and soldiers you will need and do it times ten and destroy them (the opposition). Make them dust and dirt.

George Bush (the son) tried to do it soft almost a kindler gentler war. Big mistake. You have to utterly destroy them.
