Unfortunately, I think this is exactly the lifestyle our rulers would like us to live. Basically a meaningless, pointless existence filled with self comforts.
Technology is advancing to a point where this could be a reality for many people. Our rulers will let us live this lifestyle as long as we don't try to rock the boat and go out and start our own businesses, own our own property, and start families. Those are all no gos from the Great Reset crowd.

I blame religion for this, I really do. y'all actively want people to suffer, you want other peoples lives to be as hard and miserable as possible. at best because some brainwashing made you think thats noble, but in all likelihood youre just cruel sadists. even someone like ChineseBandit58, who at least appears more well intentioned than OP, wants "agony imposed upon the population".
we get one life, we get one short spin down here and thats it, and y'all want it filled with pain, where nothing should ever be easy or simple, all you can think about is how to hurt people.
suffering does not make for a happy life, you know what makes a happy life? happiness. you know what makes a miserable life? misery.
