Well that is one way to torch your entire military career. Truth be told 9 out of 10 times officers provide a lot of leniency to you if you are in uniform. Had she been cooperative and nice odds are they let her go, follow her home, or have someone come get her without any action. Even if they pull her and she is legally drunk than take your lick, you did it ,and hold yourself accountable. At her age they probably let her retire quietly without further action. Now she is UCMJ fricked and she did it to herself. When I was stationed at Ft. Rucker the Post Commander came on post, was pulled over by MPs, blew well over the legal limit, and was charged. He tried to put pressure on the PFC that did the stop and she said nope and her reason was that we make no exceptions for anyone especially for someone who has a duty driver assigned to him 24/7. They let him retire quietly. I just don't understand how some of these senior officers know when they are off post that their authority really doesn't matter.
