I wasn’t judging the propriety of the alleged act.
I am asking for us not to shite all over the dictionary as a society, with the effect of conflating in peoples minds the act of molesting a child (always always wrong) with that of engaging in sexual activity with a post-pubescent teenager (sometimes wrong, depending on a lot of things, including the age of the partner, the maturity of the teen, the power balance of the relationship, etc.).

It’s Orwellian and the ultimate effect I believe is to dilute the weight of the pedophilia accusation, which is a bad thing.
