As do you. Republicans and Democrats both work to expand government. We really don't have much of a choice, do we?

A vote for Trump has shrunk the federal workforce.

Nice cut and paste job on the "and accelerated towards him"

We can tell you're sincere about having a debate

don't believe this should give civil servants the right to kill citizens.

Well, it didn’t. Blame her acceleration towards a LEO for that.

If they have bad/liberal intentions and are actively interrupting a federal operation, they may get themselves killed. The threat remained as long as she was driving her car around.

how did you feel when "government workers" were telling you your border was secure as 10M or more people illegally walked into this country and began using it's resources?

How did I "feel"? I don't remember how I felt. I simply didn't believe them. I'm generally skeptical of what I hear from the government - no matter who lives in the White House. How about you?

how does how you feel about that impact how you feel about what "government workers" are trying to accomplish now

You sure are concerned about feelings. And why do you put "government workers" in quotes? Are they not government workers, AKA civil servants?

I didn't think we should've let all those people in unlawfully, but now that they're here, I don't don't think that means we need to have government workers killing people in the streets - neither citizens nor unlawful entrants.

That's not necessarily shrinking the government.

Well, let's just say the standards for acquiring a license should be stricter.

Love me some ICE but “internal bleeding” could also be bruising.

Exactly this. Technically internal bleeding but not what people typically think of

so, before I go through 10 pages, are we still pretending she didn't drive her car into an ICE agent?

"I didn't think we should've let all those people in unlawfully, but now that they're here, I don't don't think that means we need to have government workers killing people in the streets - neither citizens nor unlawful entrants."

how many people have been killed in the streets? what were they doing in the streets?

how many people have been killed in the streets by the unlawful entrants?

what should be done with the unlawful entrants? what does the law say about it? should government workers carry out those laws?

if government workers are encountered by someone, lawfully here or not, in the streets, who impedes them from carrying out their job based on the law should they detain them?

If in the process of detaining them, this person (lawful or not) takes action that the government work REASONABLY believes poses harm to them or others does that government work have the ability to exercise force (deadly or otherwise) to protect himself or others?

where does your position end? should we abolish all law enforcement "government workers" at all levels of government because in the process of performing their job they may have to kill someone in the streets (legal or citizen)?

or is this just that you want to use this one poor lady's situation as a pawn in your effort to say "kill in the streets" because it makes you FEEL good (which is why I'm appealing to your feelings because you sure as hell aren't operating on any kind of logical thinking)

Indeed.

But I just think the bar for the government killing its citizens should be far higher than just:

No because Harry really likes to keep talking about the government killing it's citizens in the street like it occurs more often (or for a worse reason) today than it has in the last 25 years.

but he isn't "feeling" that he's "thinking" that so it's OK

This is a stupid game you are trying to play.

We are ALL just voting for the lesser of two evils.
