Maybe the complete denial of human caused climate change is about avoiding any discussion about how we address these changes. If you completely deny a problem, then you don’t need to even discuss potential solutions.

If it was determined that the same oil and gas companies would lead the charge for green energy production and that the same energy sector employees would ride out the conversion and keep their jobs, progs would shut up about climate change and probably start denying human influence.
Just like with healthcare, those who control energy production control the population. They want the revenues and the control.

Obama had the money. He knew the world was ending due to man made climate change in two years, so he made the investment.

It isn't a hoax because it doesn't need to be.
It's just predictable.
Almost all climate funding is public funding and it's impossible to get funded if you don't get results that the people dishing the funding expect.
Oh, you can take public funding and conclude something counter to the narrative if you like. I just hope you did it just before you planned to retire.
