Go back in history as recently as the 1990s and Bill Clinton's administration was what, by today's standards, would be called "far-right".

They have absolutely changed. They've gone full-blown fascist, authoritarian, draconian and Marxist. And it happened really between the mid 2000s and mid 2010s. It was a rapid descent into madness.
