Before you say the Revolutionary War...that war was to DEFEND the "country" that was established by a group of people simply 'Declaring' it to exist.
Same thing here. Israel had a document "declaring" its existence. It immediately fought a war to defend its existence.

That is an irrelevancy. Once a decision is made, it is made.
A nation exists on two principles (fundamentally)
Can it be defended (either by itself or via strategic allies)
Does the "world" acknowledge it as it claims.
Israel fits BOTH of those. You can try to time-travel back to 1940's. But, TODAY...a nation exists and it should be dealt with in reality...not "fan fiction"

You aren't comparing apples to apples. The people of Israel won no war in 1945 that lead to a choice of where the people would settle and have a nation state in 1948. It was decided for them by picking one of many possible places on a map. The United States has never been under such a situation. In fact, there is no other sovereign nation in the world that was afforded such.
