Afghanistan had defensible terrain and has been the graveyard of militaries for hundreds of years.

I don’t think there is much in Gaza or the West Bank that would prevent someone from stomping a mud hole if they really wanted to.

In the past six hours, I’ve seen more war footage out of Israel than in the entirety of the “war” in Ukraine.

Why is that?

Let's go through every post of your's in this discussion tree:

My argument: I've been provided nothing more than the attacks happened and Hezbollah is moving.

Let's see if you're provided anything more than

1. The attacks happened
2. Hezbollah is moving

quote:

I don't recall Hamas being so successful in an attack in recent memory. Something internationally has emboldened them. Are you truly stupid enough to believe Biden's international failures don't play a role?

The attacked happened, with vague conjecture (which started this off)

quote:

Hezbollah fighters are approaching the Israeli border. LINK

Hezbollah is moving

quote:

Meanwhile, Israeli forces are continuing to fight Hamas terrorists in Sderot as TV stations in the occupied portion of the West Bank are reporting that 50 "women" were kidnapped from Israel (video showed kids as young as 10).

The attacks happened

quote:

Reportedly 100 dead from rocket attacks, 1,000 injured. If this happened to the US, we'd turn "Palestine" into a parking lot.

The attacks happened

So, my point stands (with cited evidence of your posts doing exactly what I said they were doing).

Because footage from Ukraine doesn't support the narrative they're trying to present. You can find it on Twitter if you look hard enough.

Also, what's happening in Israel is shocking because there was no warning. What's happening in Ukraine was never shocking and was clearly going to happen and was never a surprise.

BREAKING: Egyptian negotiators notified Israel that in the event of a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, Lebanese Hezbollah would enter the war.

The solution to that? Feint to Gaza, let Hezbollah start attacking, and blow the living shite out of them.

Let’s start with a false premise and go nuts from there!

Sounds like Israel needs to expand its territory.

I'm curious if there is a step behind Hezbollah.

If not, this could be a "your terms are acceptable" moment for Bibi

Blatantly obvious at the deeper levels of coordination that went into this attack. Everybody already sitting on G and waiting on O for the next move

Next step beyond that would theoretically be Syria or Jordan getting involved.

Problems there are that neither are in much shape to be doing so, as Syria is still in a civil war the last I checked.

At some point you kinda just need to glass the place. But no one is ready for that.

Yet, when holy wars begin people will sacrifice literally everything because they believe the cause is that important.

This could very well be the lit cigarette thrown out the car window into the woods for the Middle East

The West Bank and Gaza are a little too close to home to glass. Same with Lebanon, unless they have small yield nukes.

Iran? Lot more distance there.

I doubt Russia would permit Syria or Iran to get involved directly.

I didn't think Jordan was that anti-Israel these days. I haven't been on top of that dynamic though.

Yeah it would be "Syria" aka Iran

The only thing that prior wars in the Middle East have shown is that, as much as all those other countries hate Israel, they have little or no trust in each other.

The Six Days War was a decisive victory for Israel because they beat Egypt’s arse on day 1 and Egypt kept lying to everyone else about the magnitude of the losses, which kept things going.

If not, Israel’s gains would have been much smaller because the UN would have forced a ceasefire sooner.
