honestly don’t even think he really did it. Have you ever seen the movie Arlington road? Mcveigh was set up
If your stance on him not doing it I'd based on Arlington road the movie then we have very little to discuss

Well why would else would they put a movie out where Jeff bridges character gets set up to blow up a building like two years after the okc bombing. It’s pretty suspicious

Idiocracy in full effect amongst the conspiracist

I think it’s kinda sad mcveigh was executed for what he did fairly quickly but the people in the government who killed citizens at Waco and ruby ridge never answered for it. Funny how that works
No argument there. The people who actually drove McVeigh to snap, went right home to their families and lived out their lives absolved of any wrongdoing whatsoever.
Not taking up for Tim in any way, but there was definitely a "cause and effect" series of circumstances that was largely ignored by the MSM.
I still stand by this to this day - David Koresh did nothing wrong up until the point that they made him react and gave him no alternative.

He was a freedom fighter

His methods and ideology were certainly far from mainstream and highly unorthodox at the time. Fast forward to today, and many more people than ever before, can understand where Koresh was coming from. They might not have his devotion to his beliefs but they certainly share his justified and vehement distrust of the Government.

OU Police Department issued an all clear at 3:25 p.m.
There is no threat to campus, and the alert has been canceled:

Wasn't the whole raid actually about him marrying children and such? Like the polygamy aspect never gets these people in trouble it's the marrying 14 year olds. Well that and the fire arms thing

If you'd been to the OKC memorial
I felt the blast that day. It rattled the windows of the house and I was miles outside the metro area. Many miles.
I'll never forget it. Ever. I was a HS Junior and I skipped school that day because I was sick, but I wasn't sick enough to actually miss school. I just played up a low grade fever so that I could eat soup, drink 7UP and play video games on Super Nintendo all day.
Was only a couple days afterwards when Dad took me to OKC to drive by the area and see what we could see. Said he wanted me to see the destruction firsthand and remember it. I didn't really know why, until many years had passed. We couldn't see much but saw enough, and honestly I'll never forget the smell. Like burnt plastic, welding fumes and a construction site all blended together.
One of the most saddening and memorable moments of my life.

Wasn’t sadder than the government conspiring to kill over 3000 people on 911

We'll disagree on that, then.
I saw the aftermath firsthand. I felt the blast firsthand, albeit insignificantly.
McVeigh might've been a "freedom fighter" or been arguably perceived as such in some aspects of his life...
But his actions at the A.P. Murrah building were reprehensible, evil and just straight up terrorism. 168 innocent lives taken from this earth in moments, including children. I cannot call McVeigh a "freedom fighter" when juxtaposing his beliefs with his actions that day.
I understand what drove him to it, but it will never justify what he did.

I was not comparing the two. Not even remotely.

The firearms thing was the cover. The rest is certainly debatable.
The ATF themselves were the ones who screwed the pooch and inadvertently tipped Koresh off.
The government wanted a spectacle. Koresh was well documented for making many trips to town to buy food and supplies for the compound. The A tee eff or eff bee eye could've just had an apprehension team like US Marshals or Texas Rangers at the ready, tailed him cautiously and then quietly and peacefully apprehended him in the produce aisle of the local Walmart.
That's not what they wanted, or they'd have done it.

I agree with all this. The government made a mess of that situation and others. I'm just never going to give McVeigh a pass on his actions after. He killed too many innocent people and the evidence against him was pretty overwhelming....

Are you sure this isn't about the prospects of Venables coaching career?

Nor will I.
I'm not one to say it's my place to judge, so I try not to judge. But McVeigh had to face the one ultimate judge to decide the fate of his soul, and I trust that the correct judgement was passed.
