Putting him on the stand would be insane.

I agree with the lawyers. Putting him on the stand is completely unnecessary.

WTF would they put Kyle on the stand and take that risk????

One guy said maybe it to establish his ties to the city. Apparently the cross can't bring up stuff unless the defense brings it up first.

It is not these lawyers on the you tube stream...they are not saying that... curious who?

There are people who are unrelenting that Kyle is a murderer and they actually are reinforced in that notion by what they are viewing in the trial.
It is the big lie. Just keep repeating and repeating and repeating, louder and louder...no matter what anyone else says or proves. And they make certain they get in the last shout.

They won’t. It’s a PR stunt to get people to talk about how they don’t even have to. If any of the jury hears how “obvious” it is that he’s innocent, then the idea alone of him testifying does a ton of work for them.

Yep. WI is different from most states. The state has to prove you were NOT in the act of self defense.
The defendant doesn't have to prove self defense. The state has to disprove it.
Really??

Rekieta Law. They also said the defense will not seek a direct verdict.

The similarities between this trial and Michael Brown are numerous. From the lying narrative at the start to paint Kyle as a racist Nazi to Bown and Baum being shot as they attack and the bullets traveling from the top of the head down to the legs.

interesting... i didn't hear them say that at all. thanks

There are appeal rules for a direct verdict that make it risky apparently.

Was wondering about this one...I mean they could have charged every witness with that too

I do like this judge. Seems fair and definitely not the grandstanding 15 mins of fame type of judge found in these famous TV trials we have seen in the past.
