What if their play is to do a reverse 2016?
Have Trump up heavily in the polls a la Hillary, making it feel like Kamala has no chance, and then have Kamala score a come-from-behind win to get revenge for Hillary?
Then when MAGA justifiably calls BS, they can all point to 2016 and say, 'Hey, we had to accept that Trump somehow beat Hillary, now you have to live with Kamala.'
Side note: leave it to the Democrats to somehow run a dumber and less likeable version of Hillary in Kamala--who would have even thought that that was possible?

I was feeling the same sense of optimism going into 2020. We all know how that went.
It's not who votes, it's who counts the votes.
And considering a "vote" could just be a piece of paper, or an electron in cyberspace, not necessarily the will of a legal voter, I'm less than optimistic about 2024.
I hope I'm wrong and the margin is so large they can't overcome it with cheating this time.
