"He put his money where his mouth is," aka paid the price for his stance... That's what she meant. Meaning, he got what he deserved or asked for. She knows that's what she meant. That's at a minimum, a very poor choice of words... But she knew what she was saying. She was talking shite. frick that bitch.

You are LSU's customer, you are paying through the nose for tuition, put your money where your mouth is. Don't count on your kid to do it (although encourage him/her to speak up) or for LSU Admin to do anything. And I very strongly doubt they are monitoring TD.
It's up to YOU and US, and so on. Just do it!
Ordinarily, I would and would not care about the consequences. However, once I sign my name and take up with LSU, that professor could compare my last name to identify my kid. That I do not want.
My kid was smart enough to walk out and ignore it, with a text to me: "I'm usually pretty neutral on a lot of things but what I don't agree with is thinking it's okay to agree with someone dying over a political view."
