I'm assuming you're in AL but here in TX the school systems/districts are extremely terrible for low income schools. A friend of mine who is a solid teacher gave up b/c the district had the teachers sometimes give rides to students, go do welfare checks on them - all of which were sanctioned by the principal of the school :casty: Teachers are not social workers nor should they be put in harms way. Many parents are illegal and don't want Johnny Law creeping around.
I figured with as much money as the lottos bring in, they would have things fixed, but it appears it's just getting worse. Not to mention the high pay for low ROI b/c a lot of teachers just plain suck.
