Get your Legislature involved and the equivalent of our IHL. I think LSU has it's own Board of Trustees?
Quit endowing scholarships, pull donations, especially athletics. Impress on your alumni what is going on.
We've gotten our Provost fired (well he was given the option to resign).

When I went to LSU I was required to get some kind of vaccine booster. We all stood in line to get the shot which was like a gun that shot you in the arm. I still have the scar 42 years later.
