I am not worried about that at all. He knows I researched it. I’m sure I shared some interesting things I learned when I wrote the paper years ago. I might have even practiced giving my presentation in front of him. I don’t really remember. He probably didn’t/doesn’t feel strongly about it one way or another. Just like I don’t feel strongly about the quarterback or defensive line coach for the saints or LSU. He lets me do my thing and I let him do his. That works for us. We have our own interests and friends.

I do think having a litmus test for a friend is a bit odd. Unless you're meaning it in a more joking way. I'll give you the benefit of a doubt on that one.
