I can link everyone to a relatively recent officer involved shooting, where the first thing the police reported to the media was the gun they found on the decedent. Unfortunately, once the body cam was released, you see the officer shot the guy when he was running away, nothing was in his hands, and the gun was not visible. In that instance, the fact he had a gun on him does not weight into the legal analysis one iota.

There’s 1,000 officer involved fatalities in the US every year. How many of those go like the one you wanna cite?

Not a single federal agent has been seriously injured and 2 citizens have been killed. Yet you want the military deployed to occupy a US city. It sounds to me like you're upset that the protests haven't turned violent yet and you wanted martial law all along. Typical libtard wanting federal government overreach and not supporting state's rights

I see no evidence of the victim fighting the officers. Resisting, possibly, but I think it's a natural reaction when you're getting beaten to flail your body in response. Agent on the left was beating him in the head with a blunt object.

These agents are untrained clowns who couldn't make it as real cops or military and they are turning the public against the idea of immigration enforcement. ICE over the past year has done irreparable damage to the public opinion on immigration enforcement and it will lead to more uncontrolled immigration long term. US citizens who haven't been brainwashed do not want armed masked agents invading cities and killing US citizens with immunity.

Ummm can someone educate this moron about resisting is fighting! And how does this moron know any training standards of the officers involved.

Funny how he isn’t saying what the frick is the dead dumb shite thinking would happen if he reaches for a gun while engaged with officers?

Just saw the video. It's going to be hard to justify this one. 8 guys on top of him and one just starts blasting
lol, i hate to tell you but shootings that happen while trying to wrestle a gun that was pulled on you is a good shoot every time, doesnt matter if it was one cop or 10 in on it. that was an extremely life threatening situation not just for the agents but for the bystanders

Why would anyone try to educate him?

He’s been failed by an undoubtedly public education system and a broken family structure and culture. You’re not going to reason 20+ years of idiocy out of him.

Well, thank goodness for that. Eventually, however, one of these citizens with ill intent will succeed in seriously injuring or worse a federal agent. And that won't be good.

How was Obama able to deport more illegals than Trump without having masked agents stopping citizens at random, going door to door, grabbing legal residents at their immigration checkins, breaking down doors without a judicial warrant? And if you are going to blame media bias, provide some evidence. ICE did home raids under previous administrations when they had strong evidence of a dangerous illegal alien living somewhere. This admin has them shitting on the 4th amendment at will and hoping they can find an illegal in the process.

It's not that hard. ICE was allowed to do its job. Liberal city governments turned over illegal immigrants to ICE so they didn't have to knock down doors.

ICE deportation officers go through 8 weeks of training

I am a fed working alongside these guys. I promise you this is wholly, completely incorrect.

There is a condensed training program for former law enforcement officers, with a follow up training to be concluded down the road but if you think the officers in Minneapolis are college kids with 8 weeks training, you're a buffoon. The average time in service for feds deployed to Minneapolis is 12.6 years (info current as of 4 days ago).

ICE deportation officers go through 8 weeks of training. It was shortened by this administration to expedite the onboarding process. They also removed age limits and relaxed physical fitness requirements. Have the videos of ICE you've seen looked like a highly trained group to you? Most of them don't look like I'd trust them with pepper spray as mall security. When the leftists regain the white house and send masked ATF agents door to door to check for unregistered firearms, I will maintain my stance as supporting the constitution and defending citizens against government tyranny.

negative
those are orientation requirements for new ICE agents that are hired with LEO experience, certifications and training

new hires with no experience go to their trainee academy
quote:

The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Academy, located on the grounds of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia, provides basic training to HSI special agents, task force officers and other law enforcement personnel.

The core basic training program consists of two components: FLETC Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) HSI Special Agent Training Program (HSISAT) During CITP, trainees receive approximately 12 weeks of foundational training and methodology concepts, which combines engaging classroom lectures, practical exercises, firearms, fitness and physical techniques.

Upon graduation from CITP, HSI special agent trainees are required to undergo further agency specific training during the HSISAT program at the HSI Academy. The HSI Academy is located at FLETC and is responsible for training HSI special agents to conduct a wide array of criminal investigations.

HSISAT is a fully accredited agency basic training program, which is taught by highly dedicated HSI special agents who serve as subject matter experts in various HSI specific investigative programmatic areas. Whether the HSI special agent trainee is new to a career in law enforcement or a seasoned professional, our comprehensive training program is tailored to all levels of experience.

The HSISAT program spans approximately 13 weeks and accommodates a class size of 24 trainees. During HSISAT, all HSI special agent trainees receive instruction on the day-to-day responsibilities and expectations of HSI special agents in the field, to include: case development and management prosecutorial preparation operational tradecraft Training includes extensive instruction on customs, immigration and other statutory legal authorities, as well as approximately 16 programmatic areas including, but not limited to, transnational gangs, cybercrime, financial investigations, child exploitation, weapons trafficking, strategic technology proliferation, narcotics trafficking and human trafficking. HSISAT also prepares new special agents for the physically demanding work they face in the field, with weekly physical conditioning sessions, tactical techniques and firearms training.

In addition, the HSI Academy provides a mentor program, which affords the opportunity for HSI special agent trainees to interact with senior executive leaders who can provide additional insight to “real life” after graduation, career advice, family challenges, and more broadly, serve as early mentors for the trainees. With a supportive team environment, the HSI Academy is committed to help special agent trainees reach their full potential, by refining their existing skills and cultivating new ones, preparing them for a rewarding career with HSI.

Well unfortunately that's probably what it will take for Trump to restore order. Waltz and Frey certainly won't do anything but throw gas on this.

ICE are not police officers. Police officers have a dangerous job. ICE agents have an incredibly safe job in the grand scheme of things. Being a mailman is more dangerous than being an ICE agent.
