He is in an ad for Manchin, who he apparently grew up with. Isn't the consensus around here that Manchin is likely to switch parties anyway?

Also keep in mind while he may be a Democrat, he's a democrat in the old school sense. Not today's identity politics obsessed proggies.

Candy was married to a 4 term democrat LA governor.
And we all know Nicky has a sweet tooth.

Nick Saban is a Democrat.

Probably so, and I get this position. I'm pretty conservative about social issues and get sick and tired of the in-your-face tactics espoused by the LGBTQ and BLM crowd. I'm active in my church. But I have serious issues with corporatization and our inability to solve healthcare in this country. I have serious issues with Washington in general, red or blue. I just pretty much think they're all liars and soaked with hypocritical self-interest.

Which is why I refer to the identity politics wing of the democratic party as proggies. There are still plenty of "old school" democrats out there. They're just drowned out by the crazies, and unfortunately the crazies are driving the party's direction right now.
Your position is what I mean when I say "old school" democrat.

Where in the senate are these dems?
For what polls are worth:
quote:
In a new poll conducted by NBC News and The Wall Street Journal, just 33 percent of those surveyed think the Democratic Party is “in the mainstream.” More than half (56 percent) consider them out of step.
According the the american people, there aren't many

And the dems that are considered "main stream" are probably lying about what they really think, aka McCaskill.

And many of the old school democrats I'm referring to actually voted for Trump. Or just stayed at home. Mostly in the midwest.

Politicians will do whatever it takes to stay in power. And that means toeing the party line. And the party line is made by who controls the party. Right now that's the identity politics obsessed coastal progressives.

Well, I think most of the so-called "old school" Dems are pretty out of touch with their base and will just say anything to get elected. Their old base was labor and wealthy, highly educated, vodka-tonic Episcopal types. They were pro-business people that liked having a safety net for the less fortunate.
The new base is further left that wants a much more socially progressive agenda. They're distrustful of corporations, whereas the old base were big investors and Wall Street junkies. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

"Process"...the philosophical foundation for Saban's dynasty. Blacks are Democrats. Blacks (scientifically-statistical generalization) are athletically superior athletes. Politics matters in the intense competition for 5-star athletes, and can tip the balance.
Not rocket science. Nick takes His Team to Church too.
Nick would make a fine POTUS. And when choosing the BEST for His winning Political Team to serve America, Race would not matter. Assuming He still wants to win.
I'd hope we can sneak up on Him this year.

He's an old school D, not a candy-arse SJW D.
He believes in working hard for what you get, not sitting on the couch all day eating gubment cheese waiting for more handouts.
